An immortal child

Hi everyone,
It has been a long time since I posted my first blog post. Now I'm back with something. Sometimes I do random things, and this post is also my random one.

15 November 2017

It has been a day after the celebration of Children's day in India. Children's day is celebrated on the fond memory of our first Prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birthday.

After all these years, suddenly I started realizing that it was not the same this year. In our school, we used to celebrate Children's day in different ways. I couldn't recollect anything at this moment, but I could visualize the transformation I had undergone. Once I reached my college, or I would rather say my teen age, I used to feel like Children's day was meant only for the children. Children probably under 13 years old. At a point of time, we were pushed to study hard (It is the case with every Indian child now) in such a way that we forgot our playgrounds and became bookworms. Some might disagree with me, but many students would agree with me.
I have read many articles and stories based on the current scenario in a child's life. I even feel like I have repeated few points from those articles, which you saw above. And yes, it's my personal experience too.
Yesterday a friend of mine, had written a blog post about the child in everyone's heart. Yes, it was an eye opener for me and that's when I realized the importance of the day yesterday. But it's not just that, it's something more than that.
As I read few English poems, I have seen poets (literary legends) lamenting about their lost childhood and innocence.
Let me ask you one thing. What is the real purpose of education? The purpose of education is to improve our knowledge and mainly to identify good and bad in life. But are we learning something new, or losing ourselves?
Basically a child is pure in itself, a pure creation of God. Just like the clear water. Whatever you dissolve in that water, affects the water. If you dissolve sugar, it dissolves and tastes sweet. If you dissolve sand, it settles down. Similarly, is the child's heart and mind. Clear water reflects ourselves. That's how we behave like our parents in our childhood.
I feel sad that, the child inside us is slowly dying. I will explain it how.
We can learn a lot from children. Caring, sharing, innocence (sometimes wisdom is hidden in it), love, forgiveness etc.
As we grow up, we hear certain things said by people. For example, "Don't talk to strangers, don't believe anybody, people are too selfish, they are bad, etc." A child in me asks this question, "If we are human beings, why we shouldn't trust another human?" Any living being attacks the other living being of its kind, only when there's an inevitable threat. But  humans, are not ready to believe anyone, not ready to help any stranger, kill others sometimes for no reason, never forgive other humans, and sometimes humans become the dreadful threat for their own species. Strange right?
A child takes birth without realizing any of these bitter truths. It starts believing everyone. And ends up being in trouble. Issues like child labour, child abuse, child marriage etc., are the examples. Who must be blamed for such a negativity? Is it the child's carelessness or the mistake of grown ups?
Yesterday was the day I realized that the child in me is still alive and it is asking the questions above...
Being a child makes us love people,  forget their mistakes, treat them with respect, understand our freedom, treat others without differences based on anything and finally accept ourself as we are meant to be...
I'm not here to say that adults are bad, but the beauty in us gets buried and diminished when the child in us starts dying. So start reflecting yourself through the child in you. I'm trying to keep the child in me alive. Let the child in us make this beautiful world even more beautiful and colourful.

So that's all for now. Suggestions and feedbacks are always welcome. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 See you soon friends. 😊😊😊

    1. First of all, Thank you so much for your lovely comments... 😊😊😊 I would like to say one thing, which I might have not said in the blog. The only worrying thing is that the education is not being properly utilized by people, serving its purpose. And what we educate people, must be really important. That's what I missed to say in the blog...
